  Lovely quiet place, good range of food, all cooked just right and, notably, presented in a most elegant manner. Level of service is just that right balance between being left to enjoy oneself dining and being available when wanted; well done to the staff working that day.

  waited ages to have our order taken by a grumpy waitress who was not happy when we asked to have the sticky table cleaned. Food also took ages to arrive but OK
  Have visited twice previously and each time the service has been extremely poor. GET Your front of house staff properly trained !!!

  I have been using this place since its refurbishment and although the setting and beer is great, I have noticed that the standard of food is gradually declining, last night I had the seafood sharing platter, although the scallops was really tasty the battered cod and whitebait was simply dripping with oil making it inedible, the so called crunchy batter was soggy and tasteless, subsequently we left most the meal on the plate. We did complain and was offered a free coffee, which we declined. Overall a very bad meal. Although I will return for the beer, there are better eating establish,nets in And around the village. Until they get there act together and return to the quality of food they had when they first re-opened I will not be eating there again.
